Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, boleros from the past, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves opera and tangos, as well as any dramatic performance. Ana began learning and singing music with her mother, and commenced more serious vocal training when she was 16 under the renown Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical training through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was a member of many opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. After moving in the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002, she made her way to Southern California. She currently performs traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. Alongside being an instructor and performer in the local area, her love of art and music has her active in a variety of initiatives. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher at the Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing traditional Latin American songs and hopes to encourage other people to follow in her footsteps.
